Plus one

Catherine came into town this weekend. It was really good having her here. We had alotta fun. The first thing we did was go to the whole foods store so the poor vegan wouldn't starve while in Utah. We'd hate to have THAT hanging over out heads. Anyway, Thursday night we went to the Nickelcade, cuz really, why wouldn't we? It was a blast and Catherine got nearly as many tickets as the rest of us combined. Good times. Friday we fulfilled Must-Do-In-Utah #2: the dollar movies. We saw the Beatles-ish movie...around the universe, maybe? Anyway, it was pretty good and pretty trippy. Felt like I was high watching some of the scenes. Again, good times. Also, naturally, we took her to Einstein bagels. Delicious. Friday night we hit up SLC. We ate at Rumbi Hawaiian Grill, then marched our freezing little butts over to the Energy Solutions Arena (stupid name) to watch the Jazz beat the Kings. We were sooooo close to sharing a mouth-watering hot dog. Almost...hehe. Saturday Catherine, Alecia, Met and I got pedicures, then it was off to Park City. We went tubing for a few hours. It was a blast. Everybody needs to experience tubing. Catherine spend most of her time in the warming yurt (have you seen the kid?) while Alecia was either falling in the snow or plowing through the fence!! HAHAHAHAHA....Chris managed to loose his hat halfway down a ride and I managed to get by with only tripping two people. After our toes fell off from frostbite, we went into Park City to eat. Last night was finished off by The Simpson's Movie and pumpkin cookies. MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

We're glad Catherine came and we hope she had as much fun as we did.
Now, I really hope you enjoyed reading this cuz it has taken me an hour to do it, as i'm typing with 9 fingers. Why, do you ask? Cuz i smashed my pointer finger at work and it is non-functional. Take a look:

My friend....my arm is now complete

Mom, congrats on finding how to leave comments. Too bad for you they're all NEGATIVE!! Shame on me for watching Sweeney Todd? At least I don't smoke pot or wear cross necklaces, right? That's what I thought, but thanks for always being a mom and watching out for me. I know your job is never done! Oh, and BTW, if you would actually send me Tortilla Curtain I would read it.
Anna, did you know that the Kite Runner was made into a movie? I bet you're gonna run to the movies and wait in line to watch it, huh? Haha....well, I want to see it.
Moving on...there's quite a bit of snow. Yesterday brought a foot or so to the valley floor. Crazy. I shoveled 3 times yesterday so my car wouldn't be stuck by the time I left for work. Tivo is deathly afraid of the snow shovel. He resorted to hiding behind a tree anytime I got within 20 ft of him (this means he would dart out and pretend he was going to charge me until he remembered what a sissy dog he is, then back to the tree for protection). Silly dog.
Chris and I are still waiting on dental school (I've noticed quite a few people have been asking, so ask no more). We put $500 down at UNLV. As Chris says, "We're half committed to UNLV." We're still hoping to hear from the other two schools so we can loose that $500 at UNLV and give MORE MONEY to a different establishment.....ouch.
Well, Catherine is coming Thursday. We're going to a Jazz game-against the Sacramento Kings-on Friday. I'll fill you in with the exciting crap we do.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALECIA!!

Spelling? Wathc my Spelling? For what....

As you saw in the pictures and as Anna pointed out, our little guy loves to wear shirts. Why? Because i put them on him. Why do i put them on him? Because it's freaking hilarious, that's WHY!!! The one says "these are my groupies" and the other says "Go fetch YOURSELF!" Hahahaha, since Tivo just stares at you when you throw anything for him to get, I thought this was a perfect fit. Plus, anything of mine must sport the 'tude!! It's great, isn't it?
Well, i don't really have much to say. There's still snow everywhere. I would go play in it, 'cept now it is decorated with yellow and brown everywhere and as you know, stay away from the yellow snow.
I saw Sweeney Todd last night. Interesting. Chris slept right through it, so if you ask his opinion, promptly ignore what he has just told you. I found it very interesting and disturbing at the same time. There is WAY TOO MUCH gore. Yes, i was feeling a bit sick by the end. The spraying and splattering of blood everywhere gets quite old, yet surprisingly still has a sickening affect on the viewer. If you go see it, please tell me what you thought of the movie. I think the next movie will be more along the lines of P.S. I Love You....haha.
So, there's just 3 of us in the gigantic house for awhile, until they find someone to inhabit it. I turned to heat down to 60* and bought a few heaters at THD yesterday.
Well, that's enough boringness for one sitting, I'm taking Tivo over to Megan's so we can play the Wii.
See ya!!

sad

I guess you loose people fast when you dont write as often (sis. mason, thanks for never leaving..hehe). Hey, i've been way busy with two jobs and a new dog. Anna, please come back, ive missed you. I know you have tons of blogging buddies cuz you all have time to sit around and write to each other, but what about your bosom friend? Mom, have you figured out how to leave a comment yet? If not, you should. If so, shame on you for not leaving one. Polly, why are you scared to leave a public comment. We all love you, so leave a darned comment before i post yours here for you!!!
Everybody else...my self worth is determined by how many of you actually read this AND comment :-) SO, please help my husband not go crazy and help him try to make me feel accomplished!! (did it work? do you think that got to em? I guess we'll see!!)
We dropped granny off at the MTC monday. She's going to Winnapeg (sp?), CA. Oh, and she had leukemia. It's a mild case so i guess she's just gonna get blood tested every few months. I'll keep you posted.

Coleman moved back to reno to attempt school at UNR.
Boy and I got a new dog. Meg is jealous of his "posh" life, im sure. Alicia is so kind to let him come play with Lewie often. They get along famously. Tivo (that's his name-yep, like the DVR tivo..haha, funny, isn't it!) can't wait to play with old grandpa Solomon. We love Tivo and yes, he's very spoiled.
I think thats most of the new stuff, oh, and i am one of 3 new head cashiers at HD-before my 3 months are up. Guess it's unheard of. Haha, go me!!!
Thanks in advance for all of your loving support (which you now know is measure by your comments!).
----Andree
Proud to be a responsible dog owner!
Chris and Tivo taking a nap. Awww, my boys!!
this is HIS spot...

He thinks he's a lap dog. Haha...

Gambling?!?

So, appears I haven't written for awhile. My bad, people. I didn't know you actually cared. Makes me happy I can provide a lil' entertainment...
Christmas was fabulous. Spent a lot of fun times with family.

Anna and Doug decided to stop by Christmas Eve, for they had been missing the "fork and spoon game" oh-so-much. Right Doug? Riiiiiiight. Anyway, David and Catherine and boy came too.
We had a blast.
Santa brought a Wii. My life was taken over by Super Paper Mario. Going between 2-D and 3-D was mesmerizing for me. Izzy set up a few bowling and baseball tournaments. Chris left me on the 26th. That was probably the worst decision he has ever made, but whatever.
We get a dog. Though it seems that the world is against us in this decision, it's going to happen anyway. We went to the shelter today and looked at a few.

Kirsten's wedding was awesome. The dinner was even better. I got to see Danica, that was fabulous, as always.
Home Depot was still up and running when I returned, even though 11 people were fired in one day. Guess what they did was considered gambling, thus the firing (to all you NON-Nevadans, gambling is illegal in most places that don't endorse corruption to pay for taxes!!). Too bad for them. 5 were cashiers. We're all working a lot now until the positions get filled.
New years was anti climatic. We got out of the car just in time to hear the count down-from 5! Haha....
Well, I guess that's pretty much the vaca. in a nutshell. I very teeny, tiny nutshell.

I have the BEST husband EVER!!

Need I say more??
